Summary: If you happen to be in Sioux Falls, or driving by, stop and take a look. It is a nice waterfall.

The Falls on the Big Sioux River, or Sioux Falls as it is known to some, is in the middle of Sioux Falls South Dakota. It is strange to see a waterfall in the Great Plains, but there it is.

The falls are in Falls Park, which will be marked on any map of the city. It seems to be a popular place to spend an evening. You can walk all around the falls, and there is an observation tower from which you can get a bird's eye view.

Nearby Falls

This is a fairly isolated waterfall, especially if you are looking north, west or south. The area is flat and dry, and just gets flatter unless you head east. Minnesota's Winnewissa Falls is about 50 miles to the north east.
