Summary: Dark Hollow Falls is the easiest to visit of the many waterfalls in Shenandoah National Park. A short downhill hike of less than a mile takes you to this scenic waterfall.

Of the many waterfalls in Shenandoah National Park, Dark Hollow Falls is the closest to Skyline Drive. A downhill hike of about .5 miles takes you to this scenic waterfall where the Hogcamp Branch of the Rose River tumbles down 70 feet over a series of drops. The only hard part about the hike is getting back, because it is uphill all the way.

The trail begins at mile post 50.7 on the Skyline Drive. The trail follows a tributary of the Hogcamp Branch down to the falls. There are stairs on the trail. Hogcamp Branch continues to drop below the falls.
